UNFPA to support Afgan Govt. in development of population strategy:

KABUL: the United Nations Poplulation Fund (UNFPA) celebrated teh World Population Day (11th July) under the theme "Investing in Women is a smart choice:
She developed obstetric Fistula almost two years ago when she was in labor pain for two long days. By the time she got to the health facility, she had developed life-threatening complications. Unfortunately, not only did she loose her baby, but she also developed obstetric Fistula with which she still lives and suffers from.
Sabza goes on to narrate how she faced the challenges of child bearing and related problems. “I faced all the difficulties of life as they endlessly came, one after the other. There was no end to my problems, so I got used to them. This went on until I gave birth to my third child, whom I lost during delivery because of the complications. Soon after delivery I noticed that I had lost control over my urine flow. This put me in most embarrassing situation because I started smelling, thus more miseries of life than before, since nobody could come near me. Consequently, my husband threw me out of our home. I had no refuge elsewhere, so I had to go to my sister's house and started to live in the most miserable condition of life one can imagine.”
