The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has been working with the Royal Government of Bhutan since 1970s. As a UN agency, UNFPA is in a unique position to advocate for sensitive issues in reproductive health, population and gender. By providing assistance to a number of carefully selected key activities, UNFPA has been playing a catalytic role in further promoting the goal of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). read more
