Gender Advocacy Working Group
Gender Advocacy Working Group is a group of women and men promoting gender equality and women's participation in the areas of economic, political and legal development. The group also works to eliminate the violence against women in Maldives. All this done through advocacy and capacity building.
The Gender Advocacy Working Group plays an advisory and coordination role in gender advocacy initiatives. The group was formed in October 2011. UNFPA coordinates the group and act as secretariat for it.
The group is open for all individuals and organisations committed to women's rights and willing to promote gender equality.
