Overview

Overview In Tanzania, UNFPA support is provided in the context of the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (MKUKUTA) and the Zanzibar Poverty Reduction Strategy (MKUZA), in line with the United Nations Assistance Framework (UNDAF), and the UN system in Tanzania, called Delivering as One, to advance the ICPD agenda and the achievements of the MDGs. UNFPA supports building national capacity, and increases access to basic services so as to contribute to national efforts aimed at improving the quality of life of the Tanzanians, with an emphasis on reproductive health, gender equality and women's empowerment, and sustainable development. read more
